Indian Navy Performance : भारतीय नौदलाकडून आज प्रशंसनीय कामगिरी करण्यात आल्याचे पाहायला मिळाले. भारतीय नौदलाने अरबी समुद्रात मोठी कारवाई करीत इराणच्या जहाजाला समुद्री चाच्यांच्या तावडीतून यशस्वीरित्या सोडविले आहे. भारतीय नौदलाने शुक्रवारी उशिरा याबाबत माहिती दिली. महत्त्वाचे म्हणजे या जहाजावर २३ पाकिस्तानी नागरिक होते. या नागरिकांच्या सुटकेसाठी भारतीय नौदलाने १२ तासांचे ऑपरेशन राबवले.
दोन युद्धनौका जहाजाच्या दिशेने वळवल्या
नौदलाने दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, त्यांना गुरुवारी संध्याकाळी समुद्री चाच्यांनी इराणच्या मासेमारी करणाऱ्या अल कंबार ७८६ या जहाजाचे अपहरण केल्याची माहिती मिळाली होती. या माहितीच्या आधारे भारतीय नौदलाने आयएनएस सुमेध आणि आयएनएस त्रिशूल या दोन युद्धनौका त्या जहाजाच्या दिशेने वळवल्या. या दोन्ही युद्धनौका अरबी समुद्रात सागरी सुरक्षेच्या दृष्टीने तैनात करण्यात आल्या होत्या.

दरम्यान, शुक्रवारी सकाळी आयएनएस सुमेधने अल कंबार ७८६ जहाजाला सोकोत्राच्या दक्षिण-पश्चिमेस सुमारे ९० नॉटीकल माईलवर रोखले. काही वेळातच आयएनएस त्रिशूलदेखील या ठिकाणी दाखल झाले. अखेर १२ तासांचे ऑपरेशन राबवल्यानंतर समुद्री चाच्यांनी भारतीय नौदलाकडे आत्मसमर्पण केले. तसेच या बोटीवरील २३ पाकिस्तानी नागरिकांची सुटका करण्यात आली.
