दिल्ली : आफ्रिकेत काही काळापूर्वी 20 फूट उंचीचे लिंगाच्या आकाराप्रमाणे दिसणार रहस्यमय खडक आढळले होते. हे खडक नेमके किती जुने असावेत, याचा अंदाज कुणालाही नव्हता. आता त्याचे रहस्य उलगडले आहे. आफ्रिकेतील इथियोपिया या देशात हे पुरातन खडक अर्थात मोनोलिथ सापडले आहेत. हे मोनोलिथ जवळपास 2070 वर्षांपूर्वीचे आहेत. हा शोध वॉशिंग्टन स्टेट विद्यापीठातील संशोधकांनी लावला आहे( The mysMystery stones like Penis found in Ethiopia This stone is 2070 years old ).
इथियोपियातील चेलबा तूतूटी, सकारो सोडो आणि सोदिती या तीन ठिकाणी हे खडक आढळले होते. हा भाग गेडिओ झोन प्रदेशात येतो. याच प्रदेशात सगळ्यात जास्त प्रमाणात मोनोलिथ आढळतात.
हे मोनोलिथ जवळपास 10 हजार इतक्या संख्येत आहेत. जरी त्यांचे वय कळू शकले असले तरी देखील ही स्मारके किंवा खडक नेमके कशासाठी बनवण्यात आले होते. याबाबत कळू शकलेले नाही. कदाचित हे खडक म्हणजे स्मारके असावीत. एखाद्या व्यक्तीला दफन केल्यानंतर त्याचे स्मृतिचिन्ह म्हणून ते जतन करून ठेवत असावेत.
तर काहींच्या म्हणण्यानुसार, हे खडक नेतृत्वाचे प्रतीक असून एका पिढीपासून दुसऱ्या पिढीकडे हस्तांतरित केले जात असावेत. सकारो सोडो येथे अजून संशोधन सुरू आहे. ही ठिकाणे अद्याप संशोधकांनी पुरेशी तपासलेली नाहीत. या परिसरातील उत्खननानंतर अजून काही गोष्टींचा उलगडा होऊ शकतो, असा अंदाज वर्तवण्यात आला आहे.
