मुंबई : चिपळूण येथे पूरग्रस्त भागात मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी केलेल्या पाहणी दौऱ्यात एका पूरग्रस्त महिलेने पोटतिडिकीने आक्रोश करत खासदार, आमदारांचे वेतन पूरग्रस्तांसाठी देण्याचे आवाहन केले. त्याला प्रतिसाद देत मुंबईतील भारतीय जनता पक्षाच्या सर्व नगरसेवकांचे एक महिन्याचे वेतन पूरग्रस्त निधीस देण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आल्याची माहिती मुंबई महापालिकेतील भाजपा गटनेते प्रभाकर शिंदे यांनी दिली. तसे लेखी पत्र महापौर आणि महापालिका चिटणीस यांना पाठवले आहे.
राज्यात झालेल्या मुसळधार पावसामुळे अनेक ठिकाणी दरड कोसळून मोठे नुकसान झाले आहे. त्यात मोठी जीवित व वित्तहानी झाली आहे. महाराष्ट्रात कोकण, विदर्भ, अमरावती, सांगली इत्यादी ठिकाणी कित्येक दिवस पावसाचे पाणी नागरिकांच्या घरामध्ये शिरल्याने मोठे नुकसान झाले आहे. हातावर पोट असणाऱ्या अनेक कुटुंबीयांचे संपूर्ण आयुष्य उध्वस्त झाले आहे.
अशा प्रसंगी आपत्तीग्रस्त कुटूंबियांना उभे करण्यासाठी मोठ्या प्रमाणात आर्थिक मदतीची गरज आहे. पूरग्रस्त भागातील सर्वसामान्य नागरिक मोठ्या प्रमाणात मदतीच्या अपेक्षेने सरकारकडे पाहत आहेत. राज्यात कुठेही आपत्ती उद्भवल्यास भारतीय जनता पक्षाच्या वतीने पुनर्वसनासाठी तातडीने मदत पोहोचवण्यात येते. या पार्श्वभूमीवर तातडीने भारतीय जनता पार्टीच्या नगरसेवकांचे एक महिन्याचे वेतन पूरग्रस्त निधीस देण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आल्याची माहिती गटनेते प्रभाकर शिंदे यांनी दिली.
