मुंबई : महाराष्ट्राचे पोलीस महासंचालक संजय पांडे(Sanjay Pandey ) या पदासाठी पात्र नसल्याचा अभिप्राय केंद्रीय लोकसेवा आयोगाने दिल्याची माहिती सूत्रांनी दिली आहे. सूत्रांच्या माहितीनसार संजय पांडे सेवेत असताना त्यांनी अवकाश घेत काही काळ खाजगी सेवेतही काम केले जे त्यांना सर्वोच्चपद देण्या विरोधात आहे. सरकारी अधिकारी अशा प्रकारे अवकाश घेऊन खाजगी सेवेत कसे काम करू शकतात असाही प्रश्न केंद्रीय लोकसेवा आयोगाने उपस्थित केल्याने संजय पांडे यांचे पद धोक्यात असल्याचे तसेच आता त्यावर राज्य सरकारची भूमिका काय असेल ते महत्वाचे मानले जात आहे.
राज्याचे प्रभारी पोलीस महासंचालक संजय पांडे म्हणून गेल्या आठ महिन्यापासून संजय पांडे कार्यरत आहेत. मात्र ते पोलीस महासंचालक या पदासाठी पात्र नसल्याचा अभिप्राय केंद्रीय लोकसेवा आयोगाच्या नुकत्याच झालेल्या बैठकीत देण्यात आल्याची माहिती सूत्रांनी दिली आहे. महासंचालक पदावर रुजू होताना केंद्रीय लोकसेवा आयोगाकडून ना हरकत घ्यावी लागते जी देण्यास आयोगाने नकार दिल्याने आता संजय पांडे या पदाचा संपूर्ण कार्यभार मिळण्याची शक्यता मावळल्याचे या सूत्रांचे मत आहे. मात्र त्यामुळे राज्य सरकारला त्याबाबत निरण्य घ्यायचा आहे कारण जून अखेर पांडे सेवानिवृत्त होत आहेत त्यानंतर नवीन पोलीस महासंचालक नेमायचा की त्या पूर्वी यावर राज्य सरकार निर्णय घेणार आहे असे या सुत्रांनी सांगितले.
केंद्रीय लोकसेवा आयोगाने या संदर्भात मागील काही महिन्यांपासून प्रलंबित असलेल्या पत्रव्यवहाराला नुकतेच उत्तर दिले आहे. त्यात पांडे यांच्याऐवजी महासंचालकपदासाठी रजनीश सेठ, डॉ.वेंकटेशम आणि हेमंत नगराळे या तीन अधिकाऱ्यांच्या नावांची शिफारस केल्याची सूत्रांची माहिती आहे. असे असले तरी केंद्रीय लोकसेवा आयोगाच्या शिफारसीनंतर अंतिम निर्णय मुख्यमंत्री घेऊ शकतात.
संजय पांडे यांनी सरकारी सेवेतून सुटी घेत मधल्या कालखंडात सुमारे दोन वर्षे खासगी क्षेत्रात सेवा केली होती. लोकसेवा आयोगाच्या १नोव्हेंबरच्या शिफारसीबाबत १० नोव्हेंबरच्या सुमारास मुंबई पाठविलेल्या पत्रात हे स्पष्ट झाले आहे. त्यामुळे संजय पांडे यांना पदावरुन पायउतार व्हावे लागल्यास लाचलुचपत प्रतिबंधक विभागाचे प्रमुख रजनीश सेठ, गृहरक्षक दलाचे महासंचालक डॉ.के.वेंकटेशम आणि मुंबईचे पोलीस आयुक्त हेमंत नगराळे यांच्यापैकी एकाची राज्याच्या पोलीस महासंचालकपदी निवड केली जाऊ शकते असे या सूत्रांनी सांगितले.
